"I have made the interaction between people my work. My goal is to contribute towards cultural change within organizations and in society. And thereby to contribute to human development as a whole. I believe that organizations can only change if (individual) behavior is changed." Esma Choho

Bodegraven

Esma Choho (Bodegraven, 1971) is of Moroccan origin and studied Economics and Management at the Utrecht University of Applied Sciences, and Social Sciences at the VU University Amsterdam. As a student Esma became a prolific essay writer for, amongst others, Amnesty International and the Dutch national daily newspaper 'Trouw'. Esma works as a producer for television broadcasters such as IKON and NPS. She also organizes and moderates dialogues and debates between Muslims and non-Muslims and is a guest-speaker at the Amsterdam University.

Al Jazeera English and BBC World

In 2007 Esma gained national recognition with the first self-help book for moslims in the world, Moslim Unlimited, and as a result she is frequently
invited by broadcasters, such as Al Jazeera English and BBC Work, to speak
as an authority on the subject of Islam in the Western world.>

Mission: to nurture human development

Since 1996 Esma is frequently asked to conduct an advisory process for individuals and companies. In 2009 she set up the esmachoho-agency for management coaching and consultation, specializing in the field of company culture. The agency uses coaching, training and consultancy aimed at (personal) leadership and company culture. The Esma Choho method is simple but effective: do not focus on what you can't change, but solely on what you can change. In other words: don't moan about others, but focus on your own problems and personal development.

Pragmatic and tenacious approach

Esma Choho: "The many debates and dialogues in which I have participated have led me to the conclusion that whilst debate and dialogue may develop insight, they do not necessarily develop different behavior. My method, the Choho Mindset®, is based on the concept that there is a tremendous difference between thought and action. For example, saying you want to stop smoking and actually doing it.”

"Sharp mind, charming, independent, very clear."
BBC World

"If you want to understand people, also nonwestern people, talk to Esma."
Al Jazeera English

"A remarkable spirit with an even more remarkable eye for detail and
human development.
"

NRC Handelsblad

"Humor combined with wisdom and feminine charm. Watch out."
