Personal (1-on-1) coaching program for top managers and executives geared towards (personal) leadership and/or cultural change. This program has been fully developed according to Esma Choho’s own methodology: Choho Mindset®.

Format

The coaching program is designed for executives and, depending on the level of intensity required, the program is available as a series of 10 sessions, a 90-day course or a 9-month course.

Who is it for?

Professionals who have the need for a conversation partner outside of their own organization and for those for whom performance is key, for example administrators, management and board members, senior officials, politicians diplomats, celebrities and entrepreneurs.

Problems

It is the task of the coach to clearly identify the precise nature of the problem. The program therefore often starts off with an exploratory discussion to define the primary issue or need. The following are just a few examples of problems stripped back to their bare roots, following the initial conversation:
-I have the task of implementing a change that I don't like. How do I find the energy to carry it out? -My career is steering a different course, but I want to stay focused on my dream. Can you help me with this? -I am being continually undermined by management. How do I deal with this? -How can I confront my shareholders, knowing that I dislike confrontation? -I am eager to change the culture within my company, but I have no idea where to start and I don't have the resources to finance a big action plan. Do you have a solution?
-My company's expansion is causing me continual stress. How do I learn how to cope with this? -I have already done quite a bit in the field of personal development but I tend to forget what I have learned within the first year. -How can I ensure that I continue to apply everything I've learned to avoid the same pitfalls? >

Result

You increase your personal strength and learn to deal effectively with adversity. The program has a positive effect on your drive, business results and professional merit.

Cases

Politician

A politician indicates that she is currently growing as a politician and within her party, and this is creating a great deal of stress. It is causing conflicts, at work and at home. She indicates that she doesn't want to spend too much time searching for a solution to this stress. We begin the executive coaching on the basis of 10 meetings. At the meetings the client states immediately that the talks held in the attractive and tranquil surroundings of our conversation room contribute towards her feelings of peace and wellbeing. The emphasis during these conversations is placed squarely on listening. A subject in a field of its own, in which the client feels truly heard in her thoughts, her doubts and concerns. The standard of listening, the questions posed, exercises, and the fact that the content of the conversations is strictly confidential ensure that the client speaks freely and openly and experiences less stress.

Assessment: 
After the tenth conversation the client assesses the value of the conversations as being 'particularly beneficial' as a result of the 'high standard of listening', 'credibility' and 'life experience' of the coach.

Managing Director

A highly-experienced managing director is eager that the people surrounding him assume more responsibility. He is receptive to the notion that this change starts with his own thoughts and actions. We embark on the 90-day program. The day-to-day contact and daily assignments aimed at discipline remind him of his schooldays. Initially he sees the program as being school-like, demanding and tiring. However, after the first week he begins to see the first effects of our intensive coaching. The day-to-day contact and daily exercises ensure that his focus remains sharp and that he develops a quicker awareness of his directive and authoritarian behavior. He receives positive response to his changed behavior, which in turn stimulates him to develop further. However, he continues to find the weekly sessions to tackle his manner of leadership confrontational.

Assessment: The client assesses the 90-day program as being 'exceptionally effective', ‘I should have done this much sooner but probably my ego was too big’. The client also decides to start the 9-month program, in order to reflect more closely on his behavior and to further develop his new leadership behavior, which his wife is particularly happy about.
